Double ring hip pad.

Jax pack saddles are made on a Tehama "Sawbuck" saddle tree. The rigging is made from latigo or harness leather. The pack saddle rigging and straps in the pictures are heavy latigo.

Breast Collar

The breast collar is constructed with a multi-layered technique.  The collar is rolled with a strap sewn on the outside for strength.  The rolled collar strap prevents chaffing and offers a very durable strong assembly.  The collar is fastened to the saddle straps with a heavy duty roller buckle.

Breeching

The breeching is constructed with a rolled strap.  The construction is a very strong durable assembly.  All stress points are reinforced with rivets and the entire assembly is sewn with heavy duty thread.  D-rings are heavy duty nickel plated steel.

The double hip strap provides a well balanced assembly which will keep the pack saddle centered and balanced.  The hip pad is multi-layered with a chaff pad preventing chaffing and pulling of hair.
